Last updated: 2026-11-01
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our Instagram transcript service, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We are not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
Information We Collect
- Links you submit — The URL of the public video you ask us to transcribe.
- Transcripts — The text we generate from that video's audio.
- Credit usage — A record of each credit you use or get back, so your balance stays accurate.
- Account information — Your email address, name, and sign-in details. An account is required to get transcripts.
- Transcript history — The transcripts you created, so you can find them again.
- Payment information — Handled by our payment processors. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Cookies — Needed to keep you signed in and remember preferences. Analytics cookies are used only if enabled and, where required, only after you consent.
How We Use Your Information
- To fetch the audio of the video you submitted and turn it into text.
- To keep a short-term internal cache of results (up to 24 hours) so the same video is not processed twice.
- To keep track of your credits and prevent abuse.
- To run your account, process payments, and provide support.
We do not publish your transcripts, and we do not create public pages from them.
Third-Party Processors
To provide the service we share the minimum data needed with:
- A speech-recognition provider, which receives the audio to transcribe.
- Payment processors, for paid plans.
- Hosting, email, and (if enabled) analytics providers.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data Retention
- Our internal cache of transcript results is deleted after 24 hours.
- Credit records are kept as long as your account exists, and longer where tax or accounting law requires.
- Account data and transcript history are kept until you delete them or close your account.
Your Rights
You can access, export, or delete your account data and transcript history at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
